Teen authors are an abundant but often elusive species. There are places where we gather together, away from the rest of the world, and plot. If you’re a teen looking for a writing group---somewhere to jump in and belong---one of these awesome #amwriting groups is sure to fit your needs.

Figment
We’ll be using Figment primarily as a tool to do story swaps! If you’d like feedback on something you've written, you can create an account on Figment, join the #Amwriting Youth group, and upload your story. You can post in the group discussions and ask for a critique, or just ask someone to read it, whatever you need.

YWP NaNoWriMo
If you’re a young writer and you don’t already have an account on YWP NaNoWriMo, this is an opportune time to make it. #Amwriting has created a private classroom on the site. If you’d like to join, send your username to @yoursfiendishly on Twitter or shoot a PM to writemyworld on YWP NaNo.

You can also connect with other young writers via Twitter, deviantART, and Tumblr, where teens have built up their own communities around art and fandoms.
