Khara House

Khara House is a native Pennsylvanian who currently lives and teaches in Flagstaff, AZ.

Khara has always—at least as far back as her memory goes—been a storyteller. She is a writer of poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction. She currently teaches First-Year Composition, and recently finished her first year teaching both Composition and Poetry at the university level. She also currently hosts a weekly Twitter Chat, the #WSChat, which focuses on topics for writers and bloggers.

Despite writing across the genres, Khara’s passion in writing resides in poetry; her poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in Bluestem, The Atomy, The Four Ties Lit Review, Bolts of Silk, and Enhance. Khara writes regularly on poetry and other writing-related topics on her blog, Our Lost Jungle. She is also a freelance writer whose work has appeared on IMDB and various Yahoo! sites.
