Heikki Hietala

Hello! I am a native Finn who writes in English. I have no clear-cut reason as to why, but it just feels more natural at the moment. I am published by an American indie press, PfoxChase Publishing, which has an extensive list of interesting titles.

My own output includes a novel of historical fiction, "Tulagi Hotel". If a romance set in post-WW2 times in the Pacific island of Tulagi is your cup of tea, by all means have a look.

I have also written numerous short stories, some of which have made shortlists in competitions, and some have been included in anthologies. PfoxCase published eighteen of my stories under the title "Filtered Light and Other Stories" in February 2012. My stories are often speculative fiction, not out-and-out horror, but I aim to have a subtle paranormal influence in these stories. The collection includes nine stories of other genres such as humor, flash fiction and real life.

I would be very happy if you had the time and effort to visit my website  and see for yourself . The site has sample chapters of my novel, a short story sampler, reviews of the books, and more. There's also a blog which is updated slowly but surely.
