Alex Roddie

Hi, I'm Alex, an aspiring historical fiction author based in Lincolnshire. I have been writing for many years now, apart from a hiatus when I moved to Glencoe for two and a half years and dropped everything to climb--but I found that when I moved away from the mountains, they stayed with me and now provide the inspiration for my best work. I'm currently on a mission to publish my most recent novel, The Only Genuine Jones, and am working on another historical adventure, working title Alpine Dawn.

I try to live and breathe the world of my characters, and therefore am obsessed with both the nineteenth century, and the history of climbing. You may see me on a Scottish mountain dressed in tweed and climbing with a massive two-handed ice axe, all in the name of research!
