ML Hart
My first memory is sitting in a hallway with a book in my lap. Before I was 19, I’d planned to be a ballerina, an FBI agent, and/or a brain surgeon, until I knew I was a writer. For the next many years, afraid of both the power and the responsibility of writing, I managed to distract myself by working in anything else, from theatre to law. The detours led me to making other kinds of art, finding an affinity in photography and then back to books. This time around, I make my own.
Death of paper, e-book readers, all that. Yeah I know. I still like to make physical books.

Since 1998, I've been working on (and off) a new book about tenors. But it's about my journey nowinstead of in addition to theirs. This time 'round, I'm less intimidated by the scope, but it's been equal parts the bane of my existence and the music of my soul. We'll see where it leads me.
Oh, and my cat's name is CutiePie or Pumpkin or, most often, Stop That!
