Waiting for the moment of truth by Reynard City

As I write this I am in one of those difficult situations...I have to wait for something.

Have you ever notice how bills seem to come jet propelled into your home, yet that DVD you want (or in my case promo postcards) seem to be carried by a team of snails that are on Super Drowsy cold medicine? It's kind of like that.

As you may know I write Reynard City (www.reynardcity.com) and I have been lucky enough to work with a team of animators on a cartoon pilot. We have recently sent a series of scripts to Kudos, a UK production company best known for the ground breaking TV show Life On Mars (best described as Starsky And Hutch meets Back To The Future and even then I don't think it adequately describes it. Watch the UK original, it's amazing!)

Why did we choose that particular studio? I was watching the Making Of Life On Mars and the way in which they developed it and took a risk with something that was so different made me think that they would understand what we have been trying to achieve.

For those of you that don't know Reynard City it's a kind of surreal version of the Thundercats/Ninja Turtles type cartoons of the late 80's/ early 90's. The major difference being one of the stars is a psychic vixen who inflates on contact with caramel.

Will this studio go for it? Given we managed to get past the "We don't accept unsolicited scripts" phase and then once they got our treatment (in our case a kind of comic book style presentation offering an overview of the project/series arc) they wanted to see the scripts.

I really hope this comes off and this is why I've been pushing hard for our team to promote the heck out of the site. This could be our biggest chance.

Anyway, if you are reading this and you are thinking about starting a project like this of your own, go for it. Don't wait. It's not fun!
