Kathy Leonard Czepiel

My debut novel, A Violet Season, a historical novel set on a Hudson Valley violet farm on the eve of the twentieth century, will be published by Simon & Schuster in July 2012. My short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Cimarron Review, Indiana Review, CALYX, Confrontation, The Pinch, and Brain, Child among others and has been a finalist for The Iowa Review Award in Fiction. Since 2004 I have taught in the First-Year Writing Program at Quinnipiac University. I am the thrilled recipient of a 2012 creative writing fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
