Larisa Naples
Larisa Naples is an award-winning poet and screenwriter, and a radio-playwright whose works have been heard on “The Sonic Society” (on CKDU 88.1 FM, Nova Scotia, Canada), and “Sound Affects: A Radio Playground” (on KFAI 90.3 FM, Minneapolis, and 106.7 FM, St. Paul). Her first work of prose fiction, "The Latch-Key Solution," (a Silicon Valley haunted office story) was recently published on Kindle. A full-cast audiobook production of the piece is also wending its way towards market. She is currently sifting through drifts of index cards for her next project: a fantasy coming-of-age novel set in the mountain-wilds of northern Iran. The daughter of an airport architect, Larisa was raised a global nomad with childhood homes in Caracas, Tehran, Tel Aviv, and New York. As a child, she routinely haggled for trinkets in dusty bazaars, romped about in archaeological ruins, and soaked up many different forms of ethnic music, dance, literature, and theatre. She still likes to travel whenever she can, but when not headed to or from an airport departure lounge, Larisa spends her time restoring native ecosystems, and dancing salsa rueda with her husband.
