I am Victoria Bantock and I am a writer based in Brighton. I completed the degree in English & Creative Writing at The University of Chichester in 09/10 where I had some fantastic tutors such as Alison Macleod, Dave Swann, Hugh Dunkerley and Stephanie Norgate.

I write all sorts of things: poetry, flash fiction, short stories, novels (I wish novels! In progress..), children's poetry and stories, shopping lists, school notes, form filling, twitter, facebook, blog, e-mails! Phew! That's a lot of writing every day actually!

My work has appeared on Paragraph Planet and in the I Am Joy Magazine. I won the Painted Poems competition and my children's poem was displayed at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester along with illustrations by children from schools in West Sussex. The pictures were absolutely lovely, I have photos of these that I must upload. My short story for children was also recently shortlisted in a fiction for children competition. I am trying to get this into an anthology at the moment as well as fitting in writing when I can. I don't get much time sadly as I also have to work, read lots of books and I have a little boy who is 9 years old too to run around after.

I own and run What the Dickens? www.writersgifts.co.uk which sells writing and literary gifts online. I also take these lovely wares to events and am working on appearing at some of the larger literary events soon.

I created What the Dickens? Magazine for writers which is a bi-monthly online magazine. It is free to view at www.wtd-magazine.com or is available on Kindle (links on the website). I set a theme for each one and am always looking for submissions!!

I have recently launched a new blog called Literary UK. I am adding to it constantly and you will find on there details of literary places in the UK to visit. It is an open blog and I would love other writers to contribute and explore also. Do visit the site for more information and join in the Literary Adventure.
