MICHAEL VAIN grew up in an 18th century colonial home in Elkridge, MD that fits the classic definition of a haunted house. This environment influenced his writing from an early age, and expanded his perception of what we call 'reality'.

Specializing in Horror, Dark Suspense, and other things that go bump in the night, Michael explores the darker avenues of reality and imagination. A complete bibliography of his works can be found on his website. He is currently seeking representation.

A professional artist for most of his life, Michael is currently creating paintings to illustrate his written works.

Michael holds black belts in Okinawin Karate, Weaponry, and the Chinese art of Chin-Na. His hobbies include web design, painting, drawing, gaming, and photography.
