HelloI'm Alan Hamilton. I live near Bristol, UK and I'm a late arrival on the writing scene. My first novel was published in October last year (2010) and I'm working on a second - getting on for 10000 words in and the outline's clear. I'm also a qualified proofreader and experienced copy editor. My skill is to fictionalise events that actually happened (or are recorded as happening) but about which there's a good deal of mystery and uncertainty. People who disappear, unsolved murders, that kind of thing. I try to keep the story close to what is known, or believed, and weave a story round that. I do a lot of research.
