Abi Burlingham

I'm Abi Burlingham and I am a writer, living in Derbyshire.  I write - a lot - but mostly poetry and children's books, although I am also working on a novel.  I have had four children's picture books published, most recently the Ruby and Grub series, and a fifth due out in October 2011.  I am currently writing a new series of books called Buttercup Magic, aimed at 6-9 year olds.  The first of these, A Mystery for Megan, is due out in April 2012.  I do workshops, school visits and readings, which I really enjoy, and also teach English part time to adults.  I have a couple of poems due to be published in magazines shortly, which is really exciting! I am a bit of a nature lover and love dogs too - we have a rescue greyhound who we adore.
