Maurice Lawless grew up writing short stories, reading works by Stephen King and Robert Jordan, and collecting rejection letters from any publisher with a mail box.
Sure he'd never make any money at it, he went to college for his other passion: writing software. It wasn't until several years later during National Novel Writing Month that he found a community that was supportive and enthusiastic about his writing. His first two novels were the result of that encouragement.
Currently, Maurice writes criminal justice software for local government and fiction in his spare time. He hopes one day that those roles can be reversed.
