I started writing seriously when I was twelve, and I'm thankful for that. Over a decade on I've made a myriad of mistakes and have written several novels that will forever remain in a drawer and unpublished, because that is where they belong.
Millions of words on, I have learned a lot about literature, thanks mostly to incessant reading and to my BA English and MA Medieval Studies from The Queen's University of Belfast. I'm currently finishing up my first novel Rise of the Darkwitch, the first in a fantasy trilogy about a character who is an atheist, but finds herself at the centre of the fulfilment of a religious prophecy.
I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and am currently studying for a PGCE in Secondary English at QUB.
