Giulia I. Sandelewski is a SFF novelist and short fictioneer, heroic rhymer and literary translator; were it for the wild rumours and swish business cards, she'd have you believe she also dabbles in all kinds of narrative in between.
A taste for flamboyant dramatics and a facility for erudite dialogue fostered by a fortuitous birth in the picturesque Alpine town of Asolo in 1985, she grew up in Milan, Italy. Having somehow failed to acquire any interest in fashion she moved to England in 2005, in order to pursue the kind of learning by osmosis that comes of hanging around great-smelling libraries. Hot on the heels of an English & Philosophy BA (Liverpool) and Shakespearean Studies MA (King's College London), she's now come full cosmic circle and ended up in the flamboyant and erudite town of Stratford-upon-Avon, against whose equally picturesque backdrop she can be spotted juggling the impoverished PhD student life & bohemian writer's times.
Never happy with one project when a trillion will do, she is currently perspiring coffee over a thirteen years in-the-making fantasy / horror crossover novel, a concept album of semi-autobiographical metapoetry, and a collection of loosely connected bouts of short speculative fiction. To this end she is wont to haunt the RSC, and tune into the ghosts in the walls.
