As a slightly cynical hopeless romantic, I don’t really consider myself the typical Contemporary Romance novelist. I’m not bubbly, and I can’t say I’m fond of the typical romance novel, but I love the notion of love, and the strange, bizarre, and sometimes comical things it makes people do. That’s probably why I made the move from Fantasy Fiction, not to mention that I get to create crazy relatives, crazier friends, and coffee addicts with far more ease.
Originally from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, I moved to Dartmouth where I lived for five years before relocating to Montreal, Quebec. Living in both a small town a city has given me the chance to be inspired by different the surroundings, and the different people these places present. My first novel, Heart Pulled to Pieces, is set in both types of locals, paying homage to my home town (though it’s not set there, just a place like it).
I’m married, and found balance between honouring my parents and husband by merging my two last names in my pen name.
I’m a caffeine freak, a music junkie, and a Christopher Moore fanatic (these three things keep me sane).
I’m not afraid to say I’m still new, still have a lot to learn, and am constantly on the lookout for great information and useful tips.
