Jim O'Donnell is an author and photographer based in Taos, New Mexico.

Jim runs the travel and photography blog Around the World in Eighty Years.

Jim is the author of "NOTES FOR THE AURORA SOCIETY", a travelougue about his 1500-mile walk across Finland.  He is also the author of numerous short stories, many of which are posted on his website Around the World in Eighty Years.

Jim's stories, poems and articles have appeared in such publications as CATCH, SUOMEN LUONTO, WILD, HYENAS LAUGHED AT ME AND NOW I KNOW WHY and CONCEPTIONS SOUTHWEST. He was written for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAPS, DESTINATIONS TRAVEL MAGASINE and GO SAGA.

Jim is currently working on his first novel. It is the story of changing values of a possibly faked historical document through time told via multiple different and disparate works. It is a literary attempt to create something completely unique.

Jim is the single father of two children.  Jim is also a Permaculture Designer, an avid fly-fisherman, traveler/explorer, gardener, backpacker and also former archaeologist who is still passionate about that science.
