R. K. Alan
An architect by education, a real estate developer by profession and a closet writer for much of his life. He never thought of publishing on the web before and recently decided to take the plunge. His latest inagineering is a Scifi/Adventure MMO entitled – Return to Earth. He decided to flesh-out the science fiction through prose and hopes everyone will enjoy it.
He also administers a blog entitled "New Book Releases" to help all writers and publishers get the word out concerning their book press releases, announcements and reviews of new books, eBooks, audio books, author appearances and signings… There is a page with a web form for submission. Posting of book information is a free service to all authors, publishers and agents.
When his SciFi Adventure novel is finished, he will launch a blog to provide expanded material concerning the book to add depth and texture to the SciFi novel experience for the reader. It will expand upon the ongoing saga of man’s return to colonize their Mother Planet – Earth providing more insight into the characters, story world and the advanced gadgets and gizmos inherent to every SciFi experience.
Return to Earth is currently available in individual chapter serial format at his FanStory website. You can follow along with the ongoing story evolution here… http://www.fanstory.com/krylon
Prologue Excerpt:
At this grave moment in man’s history, words seem inadequate. Somehow, I must find the ones to explain our failure.
I record this message for future generations. Assuming we manage to survive, I pray they may listen and take heed.

I am but one of a handful of survivors remaining of the human race. We lived and thrived on a planet we called Earth. A planet our species once dominated, but through our own recklessness and greed, we sowed the seeds of self-destruction.
To think such an intelligent species, capable of constructing extraordinary vessels to traverse our solar system, could fail to care for the only vessel capable of nurturing and protecting all of humanity.
Mother Nature tried to warn us - we failed to listen.
The cause of man’s slow descent into chaos started with climate change, long before my birth. Our political leaders and the world’s collective intelligentsia, stricken impotent, failed to mitigate nature’s wrath. Unable to cope with the reversals in our climate, and through our united benign neglect, mankind made the ultimate sacrifice.
By 2150, vast, fertile regions of the globe failed to sustain their rich harvests. People starved in ever-greater numbers. Not the rich countries, of course, as they swallowed up all the food they required, at ever-increasing prices, leaving nothing for others.
