I got started writing with Star Wars fanfiction. I began thinking that if I practiced, someday I would be brave enough to write my own original works. Now, after a 10-year apprenticeship writing fanfiction, I'm finally to the point where I am writing original works. I have a disability known as DiGeorge's Syndrome. Illnesses show up in a lot of my main characters lives because it's something I'm very familiar with. My characters also lead more interesting lives than I do.
When I'm not writing, I attend church and play with my cats and snuggle with my doting husband.
As of present, I am unpublished, but I will be published someday.
Currently in the works are two collaborations and one solo novel:
- The Paths of Magic: The White Key by L.M. Orbison. 13-year-old Matthew Baxter is besieged by severe asthma and well-meaning, but interfering family members; he finds the skills in Auren to cope with his problems.
- Happily Ever After by L.M. Orbison and Jennifer Stuck. Prince Michael tries to con his princess into falling for him; when it backfires, he learns there are no shortcuts to finding true love.
- The Fairy Chronicles by L.M. Orbison and Jackie Long. Prince David has had it with being a prince. But when things are pulled out from under him by a vicious fairy, he realizes that maybe he didn't have it so bad after all.
