My name is Alison Guynes, though I usually write under the pen name A.M. Guynes or Annikka Woods. I'm in my 30's, happily married, and I currently reside in a small town in southern Idaho. I write YA/Adult Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Urban Fantasy. I tend to read what I write, along with whatever else I can get my hands on. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelors degree with a double major in Anthropology and History, with an emphasis on linguistics. My goals, aside from becoming a career author, is to become a college professor. I spent what free time I'm not writing working on my knitting, cooking, and harassing my husband and my cat.
I'm a semi-active blogger, and I volunteer my time on the Elfwood website as a Coordinator/Moderator. I've been a member of the Elfwood community for 9 years and a Moderator there for almost that long. My shelf in the Wyvern's Library is a little lacking at the moment, but that's because I haven't been publishing much there lately.
I've currently got several short stories out for possible publication, and I'm working on the second book in what will hopefully end up as a long running series in the fantasy world I've been building for the last 20+ years (multiple timelines, different story arcs). I've also got a UF novel outlined and waiting, and two different Sci Fi series also waiting for my attentions.
