Jarika Johnson is a jack-of-all-trades writer. She holds a degree in English-Creative Writing and is spending her time now trying to turn writing into a paying career. Her love for writing, reading, filmmaking, and movie-watching prompted her to create the website www.willwriteforlove.com which was created from a tweet she wrote: “…most writers have two jobs: 1 for money, the other for love”. The website is designed to bring together people from all areas of the written-word world. This includes: writers, avid-readers, filmmakers, and film-lovers. The site also highlights the work of other writers and filmmakers in the “Spotlight” (www.willwriteforlove.com/Spotlight) section. She also blogs about writing and filmmaking, books and movies at www.willwriteforlove.com/blog.
She has just completed one script and is currently working on a screenplay of the rom-com genre. Once the screenplay is finished, she will continue work on her debut collection of short fiction (currently untitled) and her first novel (Play). She is seeking representation for her work.
