Mari Miniatt lives in Syracuse, NY., but she was born and raised in north-western Wisconsin--on a large farm in the middle of the woods. She graduated from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree in communications.
Inspiration for her to become a writer came from her father, who would longhand write every day. Mari picked up his habit and would have a notepad out whenever she could. Her father self-published his memoirs when he was in his eighties. Not wanting to wait that long, Mari finally got enough encouragement to take the plunge and publish her book.
Her friends and family inspired her to take her writing from hobby to profession. After looking through the decades of work that she had amassed on her hard drive and piles of notebooks, she decided it was time to clean house.
