Karen Wehrstein is a novelist, journalist and homeopath living on 30 acres of forested land near the town boundary of Huntsville, Ontario, Canada. She has two sons, Tristan, 15, and Raphael, 12.  As well as innumerable journalistic articles, mostly for Muskoka Magazine, What’s Up Muskoka and North Country Business, she has published two solo novels (Lion’s Heart and Lion’s Soul, Baen Books, 1991) one collaboration (Shadow’s Son, with Shirley Meier and S.M. Stirling, Baen Books, 1992) and several short stories in the science fiction, fantasy and horror genres.  She now posts her works online, at a pace of 2,000-2,500 words per weekday, at www.chevenga.com.  Her home is graced with the obligatory writer’s companions, two cats and a dog.  Her interests include music, computer art, the regulation of homeopathy in Ontario, swimming, American politics and hang-gliding.
