Clara Gillow Clark was born and raised in the Northeast corner of Pennsylvania near the Delaware River. She lives with her husband in a little gray cottage with woods and fields and a pond. They don't have pets, but they do have lots of water fowl and wild animals. In addition to writing, Clara also teaches creative writing. She’s spoken at schools and libraries as well as reading and writing conferences.
Clara's first three novels, Annie’s Choice, Nellie Bishop, and Willie and the Rattlesnake King are out of print but still available through the major booksellers or directly from the author.
Her middle grade series for ages 9 and up is published by Candlewick Press.
